(i) In terms of Government order notified vide No. 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18th May, 2026 of Backward Classes Welfare (BCW) Department, Government of West Bengal (click here to check), candidates belonging to (1) Bharbhuja and (2) Devanga Classes who have been included under the State List of 66 (sixty six) Classes of OBCs to avail 7% reservation but were not in the earlier State List of 140 Classes of OBCs (Category - A and Category - B) vide earlier notifications dated 10.06.2025, are requested to upload their OBC Certificate issued or revalidated on or after 01.01.2023 to get the benefit of reservation under OBC Category.

(ii) Candidates who appeared at the Interview as OBC (Category A or Category B) despite of having possessed an EWS Certificate and have been excluded from the latest State List of OBCs (66 Classes) may also upload their EWS Certificate valid for the year 2023-2024 or onwards to get the benefit of reservation under EWS Category. Else they will be considered as UR category candidates if fulfills the condition there on.
